Health Educator

Duties and Responsibility: health educator create programs that encourage health wellness and prevent diseases. They teach people how to make good health decision, incorporate healthy activities into their lives and avoid harmful behavior.

• Supervising staff
• Creating health-related material, such as posters and website
• Helping people find the appropriate health service or information
• Advocating for improved health resources and policies
• Collecting data and other information to analyze needs and evaluate programs
• Preparing reports for management and other stakeholder

Salary: $50,400 - $61,300

Education: A bachelor degree or higher in health education, public health education or health promotion.

Demands or Need for this profession: Pass Certified Health Education Specialist examine. You have to have a 75 hour of continuing health education during a 5-year time frame in order to maintain certification.

Reflection: I would maybe like to be one. I don't like really teaching.
